
The iPhone is going to utterly change the smartphone landscape. Everyone else is now completely in catchup mode. Nothing more to say.
Except that I have to wait until 2008 to get one! Dammit!

That said, to quote Om Malik (and in response to a colleague who argues that text on this and all smartphones is too small), “… I am not suggesting that this replaces our notebooks or desktops for crucial productivity tasks, the iPhone (if it lives up to its hype) is at least going to decrease our dependence on it.”
No smartphone, including this one, is yet at a point where we can toss away our PC or notebook. They are all strictly on the move solutions.
